Nurture the Wow for Parents: Conversations, Cookies, and Camaraderie

Join Rabbi Lauren Henderson and other parents of young children (0-5) for after-bedtime conversation in a six-part discussion series this summer. These conversations will offer parents of young children a chance to sit back and reflect on how parenting has impacted our hearts, lives, and spirituality. We’ll provide tools, ideas, and lenses rooted in Jewish wisdom that can help parents engage the work of raising their children more deeply, with more intentionality - with more thoughtfulness during the difficult moments, and more joy overall.

Our discussion will use the framework from Rabbi Danya Ruttenburg’s book Nurture the Wow: Finding Spirituality in the Frustration, Boredom, Tears, Poop, Desperation, Wonderful, and Radical Amazement of Parenting. No need to have read the book in order to participate, although you’re welcome to!

Dessert and drinks will be provided.

When: Five Thursday evenings (June 8, 15, 22; July 6 and 13) from 7:30pm-9pm along with a Shabbat afternoon hangout for the whole family on June 24 from 3pm-5pm.

Where: A home in Sandy Springs (address provided upon registration)

Cost: $36 for the series, ($18 for COH members)

RSVP by June 6. Limited spaces available.

We did not have enough participants to run "Nuture the WOW" at this time, but if you are interested and want to participate in the future, please email Rabbi Lauren at rabbilauren@or-hadash.org.
