Post b'nai mitzvah, our teens are invited to join beloved teacher Rachel Lazarus for monthly discussion of topics that are important to our teens as they move farther into Jewish adulthood, but tend to to make some people uncomfortable. Topics are geared toward the interest of the group, but past cohorts have discussed Judaism as it relates to sex, bodies, gender; race and racism; drugs, alcohol and addiction; and that most taboo of subjects ... God. In 10th grade, our group focuses on particular on identity. What makes a Jew a Jew?
We gather at 6:00 for a shared dinner of (kosher/dairy) pizza with the 8/9th grade cohort. Our discussion runs from 7:00-8:30pm.
Cost is $300 per teen, including dinner. Click here to register.
