This historical fiction novel tells the amazing story of Sarah Aaronsohn, an Israeli heroine who was one of the leaders of the Nili spy ring during World War I.
Love - On a personal level, Sarah had a brief unsuccessful marriage with an older man who lived in Turkey. As a sabra, Sarah and her siblings were bought up as Zionists. Her travels with her older brother Aaron, a botanist and agronomist, throughout Palestine collecting flora and soils solidified her national identity and love of the land.
Destiny – Sarah’s destiny was to work toward the liberation of Palestine from Ottoman rule which she accomplished through her leadership of Nili which aided the British forces through covert operations and intelligence gathering.
